Hpnotiq Primp & Prep

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hpnotiq for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

You must be 21 years or older to drink alcoholic beverages and as always, please remember to drink responsibly.

Now that I'm a mom, I can't wait for girl's nights! They are few and far between nowadays, but I have always loved getting ready with my girls. Usually we go to dinner, have some dessert, then go out for cocktails out in NYC. Getting ready is usually the fun part, but now it's going to be even better cause I discovered the Primp & Prep site! Their motto is hair down music up! I can find out hot new cocktail recipes, beauty tips AND music to get ready to. My favorite part of the primp and prep site is the Pandora player which plays all the latest club and pop hits. It also has recipes for Hpnotiq mixed drinks which are delicious! I have a hard time keping up with the latest hair and makeup trends so the website is also really helpful because they have beauty tips with celebrity photos and of course celebrity gossip. Also for my single guys and gals, they have tips on how to approach and talk to the opposite sex, some really good info! You can also upload your photos, edit them, add a message and share on Facebook, and get a chance to be featured on hpnotiq.com! They even have an online shop where you can get some hpnotiq gear, glowsticks, candy, etc.

HUE Leggings and Tights

It's getting colder and colder this winter. After spending most of my pregnancy in leggings, I sure hope they don't go out of style since I stocked up on so many, as well as purchased many tunics and longer cardigans to go with them! If I happen to get pregnant again, I will want to wear them as well. There are so many different brands out there, one of which is HUE. They are known for their hosiery and have been around for quite some time. Their website is very tempting. Right now they are offering 25% off on leggings, which are a staple in my closet! Leggings can be worn in place of skinny jeans OR tights. They are not only comfortable but tuck in my postpartum belly! They also have a slimming effect. HUE also makes a special tummy shaping version. I've also worn leggings underneath skirts for a fashionable look.

HUE not only has leggings, but really stylish ones like corduroy and jeggings. They come in all different colors and textures, as well as styles! They have a bootcut denim legging that looks very interesting.

Their tights selection is very wide. There's so much variety, they have patterned tights, colored tights, opaque, sheer, net, woven, glitter, cotton, etc. I personally like sweater tights, they are so warm and cozy in the winter with or without boots. The footless tights are great for open toed shoe styles like peep toe ankle boots and sandals.

I have a son, but if I had a daughter, she would be stylin in HUE tights! They have lots of colors and styles for girls. Makes a great gift for the daughter, neice, grandchild or sister in your life!

Holidays are almost here!

I am so excited for the holidays this year! With a new baby, it's hard to find time to shop, but it's also more fun to shop since I haven't done much shopping since he keeps me so busy at home. We already put up our Christmas tree and decorations, yes, 3 weeks before Thanksgiving, but hey we had a free Friday night and he was napping for a nice 2-hr stretch! One of my favorite stores, Macy's, is of course having some great deals for Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I am looking forward to taking advantage of these sales for sure! I always have trouble keeping track of who I need to buy gifts for, and what to get them, but Macy's has actually put together a Holiday Gift Guide which makes it so much easier to keep track of gifts and also to get some great gift ideas and not to mention deals on them!

I'm really digging the gifts by price section of the gift guide as well as the gifts for babies section! They have also organized them so you can shop by price and by top loved. They also allow you to add items to your list. I've already started to go through and add things to my list. Come Black Friday I will know exactly what I am buying based on how much it goes on sale (or not)! Also the Top 10 Gifts section is really helpful. There are a few people in my family who are very hard to shop for, and this should help when making a decision when buying gifts for those who have everything! I am especially loving the Gifts From Our Stars section. Can't go wrong with the Ralph Lauren and Coach sections. I am definitely using the guide to pick some great gifts for my husband, father and son from the Ralph Lauren section, and picking something for my mother and sister from the Coach section! Shopping online on www.macys.com will save me lots of time and hassle this holiday!

Without Macy's Holiday Gift Guide I'm not sure how I will get through the craziness of buying gifts this year!

3 more weeks

The countdown begins, 3 more weeks till my due date 9/12. It's been a long but amazing journey. And looking back, fairly quick. I'm so ready for our son to be born and I can't wait to be a mom! I an hoping I'm early, these last few weeks are super uncomfortable! Psyched... Come on baby, mommy & daddy want to hold you already!

7/18/12

So I'm officially 32 weeks pregnant and boy has it been quite a journey. I've had a pretty easy pregnancy thus far. Since I have only about 2 months left, it is pointless to buy maternity clothes at this point. I have been focusing my shopping impulses and interests towards shoes. Right now Macy's is having a sale, an extra 15% off most styles w/coupon. I like getting shoes from Macy's because they have a really wide variety of brands and styles.

My top brands would be Frye, Aldo, Steven/Steve Madden, Unisa, Cole Haan, LAMB, and Charles David.  What I love is that Macy's always has tons of shoes in my size! They also have everything from casual to dressy, day to night. Right now I am really into flats since I'm pregnant, however, I find myself obsessing over the wedges. I find that wedges provide both comfort, style and just the right amount of trendiness. Here are the wedges that strike me the most:

Steve Madden Women's Shoes, Mammbow Wedge Sandals $28.68 w/coupon

Impo Shoes, Gee Wedge Sandals $29.74 w/coupon

I could go on and on looking at this site for hours. But I must resist and limit myself to only a few pairs =)

Long time

I haven't posted in quite a while. So far, I have been having a hectic year. We just moved into our new home, hosted lots of get togethers, interviewed for a new job (didn't get it, but ok with it), and just in general I've been incredibly busy with work and getting our house in order. I would say I spend almost all my time at home cleaning and/or unpacking and/or doing dishes and/or cooking. It's been a huge responsibility especially with demands on the weekend with real estate and church, but somehow time has been passing by somewhat slowly. I just can't wait for the spring! I have pretty much given up on winter, there just hasn't been any snow to even get excited or in the mood to go snowboarding. It's definitely wedding season, I have 4 invitations (2 in March alone) and 2 on the way. Two of the weddings are out of state. Along with weddings come bridal showers and bachelorette parties.
